Too often, the term "family entertainment" means something just for kiddies. That's not true with Grammy-winning family folksers Fink & Marxer. They are spellbinding acoustic musicians, with a rare mastery of American roots styles. On their whimsical new CD, "Scat Like That," they help build language skills by playing with words the way kids play with sandcastles or beach balls. While considering the many splendors of pie, they teach Spanish words, set to an alluring Latin groove. They gallop through the vowels in a lilting cowboy song, and, just for fun, sing a properly buckle-swashing pirate's arrrrgh-along. But parents will be as entertained by the sublime musicianship and droll lyricism as kids are by all the musical mischief.
