Make This!
Follow these simple instructions to make your own Milk Carton Pirate Ship!
You will need:
- 2 empty milk or juice cartons
- 2 bendable straws
- 1 piece of tape - approximately 2 inches
- Scissors (get help if you need to)
- Your imagination!
| Step One: Cut one milk carton down the middle, long-ways. |  |
| Step Two: Cut the bottom off of the second carton. Make it about 2" high. This will be the deck of your ship. |  |
| Step Three: Next, cut out sails, any size and shape you like, from the remnants of the two milk cartons. Cut two slits in each sail and slide the straw through the slits. The bendable section of the straw goes at the bottom. |  |
| Step Four: You need a hole for each straw to slide through the top of the deck. Cut an "X" shape in the top of the deck for each straw. Slide the straw through the hole. |  |
| Step Five: Bend the ends of the straws and secure with tape. This should help your sails stay upright. |  |
| Step Six: Set your deck with sails inside the ship. |  |
| Step Seven and Eight: Sail your ship in the bathtub and shout "AHOY!" "ARR!" "SHIVER ME TIMBERS!" |  |
